Work Experience

Hey guys, as I said in my last post a few weeks back, I was going into work experience, well now the two weeks are up and it’s finally the summer! The place I worked dose several things including; A normal convenience, corner shop. A Internet Café, and a computer and console repair shop. I was doing it mainly for the computer repair. Most of the time, I was just helping out in the shop. That is, stacking shelves helping with various problems in the internet café. But a few times I actually got to help out with the repairs; although most of them went any fun because they were just viruses, spyware and disk failure, but some were interesting. They were obviously impressed with my technology skills, because close to the end of the work experience the guy offered me a job! And obviously I was like “YEAH!” and now I work in a computer repair shop on Saturdays, and will be doing it some days in the holidays.

So all in all I was quite happy with this work experience and I’m ecstatic I got a job! I’m so glad I didn’t go with the job the school found me at “Secom solutions” where they go around setting up workplace networks (boarding). I had gone there for a makeshift interview and they were acting as if it were real, i guess that’s good for a work experience student, but they were firing the “why would you like to work here” questions at me, and I really didn’t want to work there, so in the end I had an un-professional chat with the woman in charge and we agreed that I would not be doing work experience there. The only downfall from the whole all deal is that the shop got robbed about mid-way through the work experience, but that’s all sorted now.

Art Exam.

Hey guys, today I had a five hour art exam! It didn’t go as well as it could have done but at least they were loose on the no technology rule they normally have in exams, after all you can’t cheat in art aided by a mobile phone, so I managed to get a snap of my work (on the right) before it was sent off to the examination board. Unfortunately however, my mobile is not very good so took a small and crappy photo, you can tell how big it is by the prepotion of the pencil and my hand.

So what do you guys think??

Study Leave.

Hey guys, I will be on study leave for the next two weeks! That means I probably won’t be online much apart from when I’m not revising. That means only 8 hours and 20 minutes of examination, shame I have to revise too, although I have terrible short term memory, so revising its bratty much pointless, I normally remember the answers from when I was originally taught but I will revise anyway if it makes a difference? Anyway, here are all the exams I will be doing…

WEEK ONE:

23rd | Monday – 1 Exam (40min)

24th | Tuesday – Off, WOO!

25th | Wednesday – 1 Exam (1hr 30mins) + (2hr Revision)

26th | Thursday -1 exam (1hr 30mins)

27th | Friday – Off again, yippee.

WEEK TWO:

30th | Monday – 1 exam (All day exam)

1st | Tuesday – 1 exam (1hr 30min)

2nd | Wednesday – Off again, Hurray!

3rd | Thursday – 1 exam (1hr)

4th | Friday – No exams off Wahoo.

After these two weeks I will be doing two weeks of work experience at a computer repair shop. Then I get the summer off! Can’t wait, I get the feeling I will get allot done over the holidays!

Hey people, it’s been a really nice day in London. Went out with friends, played a little badminton… ok that was a lie, I didn’t in anyway play badminton, but I did play swash… ok that’s a lie too but i did go out with friends, it was such a nice day I thought it would be a crime not to go out and increase my risk of getting cancer in the future. None the less it was a fun day, although the classic English weather (and Scottish… Neil) eventually came in, but at least the rain held off. Here is a random picture i took from out side my window.

My camera messed up a bit on that but never the less, a photo.

Hope you liked my post, not too interesting but none the less, a post.

Welcome to My New Blog.

Hey people, I have finally set up my blog, this is really a copy on Neil’s blog. When I say copy I mean that the idea came from him not the content. Anyway I thought this would be a horrible idea at first, but after reading his blog, I actually found it quite interesting. It’s nice to see how different people live around the world, its like being everywhere at once. I know people from all over the world and I like to see where they live and the scenery around them, I suppose it’s because I use to live in a small town in the north of England, and until last year I have lived there all my life, that’s it, I never travelled went on holiday, moved home, nothing but that’s all different now, moved to London in England and finally woke up. When I have my education and qualifications, I plan to move to America, it’s just something I have always wanted to do, my grandparents live there and in-fact most of my family live there and I haven’t ever been there.

Well, took more time there telling you about my background rather than explaining my blog.
